Consultants
To establish the basis for growing quality grapes, Gulbanis Wine has engaged, for the reconstruction of its vineyards the professional support from:
- Assoc. Prof H. Hristov , head of Experimental Agricultural Centre in Han Krum, Bulgaria for the development and vines selection of the Gulbanis Vineyard.
- Assoc. Prof Krasimir Bambalov, lecturer at the Agricultural University in Plovdiv, Bulgaria for the development and vines selection of the Gunashli Vineyard and consultancy to our agronomists for maintenance and health care of both vineyards.
The Vines

Assurance to realize the basis for quality wines was provided by the consultation of Bulgarian viniculture expertise, supported by Italian vine nursery specialists.
The types of vines selected reflect the soil and climatic conditions specific for the Gulbanis Wine Estate. All vines originate from Italy and are newly planted / spaced at 400 to 450 vine plants per 1000m2. The maintenance of the vines and harvesting of the grape berries is performed manually to ensure the quality of our future wines. The vine varieties, planted at the estate, will comprise: |
all of which are growing under the careful health care of our viniculture experts and agronomist team, supported by a workforce of 30 plus. |
